The poll on the right may seem a little odd, or at least the question may seem a little odd. I add it just to make sure my thinking is in line with most golfers out there. That's right, it's very much an egoistical poll but maybe you can glean something from it as well. It's been added because on the weekend someone was telling me of a story of a golfer who achieved his first hole-in-one (the first one a relatively new hole incidentally). He continued to use that same ball and put it in the water a couple of holes later. Hole-in-one ball - gone.
I find it a little strange he continued using the same ball. Maybe having the hole-in-one ball didn't really mean a lot to him? Maybe having achieved one was enough. Does it really matter if you have the ball or not? It does if you want it mounted in a hole-in-one trophy!
Anyway, feel free to register your vote and here's an old hole-in-one joke to finish the week.
Robert goes golfing every Saturday. One Saturday, he comes home three hours late. His wife asks him, "What took you so long?"
The guy says, "That was the worst game of golf I've ever had. We got up to the first tee, and Charlie hit a hole-in-one and immediately dropped dead of a heart attack."
The guy's wife says, "That's terrible!"
The guy says, "I know. Then, for the rest of the game, it was hit the ball, drag Charlie, hit the ball, drag Charlie, hit the ball, drag Charlie..."
