Nick Watney holes out for albatross: video

June 15, 2012
Nick Watney made only the third albatross in US Open history today at the par-5 17th hole.
On a day when only six players turn in a score under par it was quite something to see Nick Watney hole out for an albatross and become only the third player to do so in US Open history.
The 475 metre hole played as the easiest on the course, but nevertheless this 5-iron from 173 metres is a delight to watch. And the roar is a pleasure for the ears.

Incredible golf shot and one that i’m sure Nick will remember for years to come.

Tough scoring at a typical US open golf tournament.
